Makolaa needed a digital agency that was just as bold and audacious as them to be a partner in creating this revolutionary platform that'll serve as a commercial hub for millions of people of African-descent around the world.
Makolaa’s founder is a visionary disruptor who saw a need for a comprehensive e-commerce platform that whilst open to everyone to shop, would exclusively feature sellers of African-descent.
One of the major issues Makolaa faced early on was being advised to build on Shopify or any other CMS/template platform when in reality, the unique combination of feautures and functionality the platform needed meant no template existed that adequately brought the founders vision to life.
The biggest advantage we had that let us succeed where other agencies failed was having worked through many other builds similar to this one. We were able to quickly diagnose bottlenecks and rely on a mix of past expeirence and emerging innovation to bring the founder's vision to life.
Upon completing the build, the next challenge for Makolaa would’ve been how to let the market know about this disruptive new platform. Makolaa saw our level of delivery on the build so it was a no brainer to let the market experts handle the Go-to-Market campaign as well!
